The U.S. ITC has determined that the subsidization of Bombardier’s C-Series jet by the Canadian government has not harmed American industry (namely Boeing). As a consequence tariffs that had been set at 292% by the Commerce Department will not be applied. The case had been controversial in the context of NAFTA negotiations. It will become more complex if Boeing challenges the decision as it is buying Embraer.
