Chinese oil refiner Sinopec has signalled it will start using very large crude carriers (VLCCs) as it expands its international sales. Exports of refined oil products from China reached a record in November of $2.9 billion for the month, with preliminary data suggesting a 32% rate of growth for 2017 as a whole. Sinopec was the largest exporter in the 12 months to November 30, accounting for 37% of total shipments.
