The protracted boom in container handling through Californian ports continued in February, with volumes having risen by 21% on a year earlier. That was partly helped by the later lunar new year for some Asian suppliers, with growth in January and February combined reaching 12%. Long Beach expanded the quickest, with a 33% surge having outpaced LA despite the latter recovering to a 16% growth after two months of declines.
