Global airfreight volumes climbed 7% on a year earlier in February, suggesting the potential for continued volume growth for the freight forwarders. Yet, the first signs of a slip in discipline may be emerging with a 6% rise in capacity being the fastest since May 2016. Global seafreight volumes did better than air for a second month though, with a 10% rise in container handling at ports in nine countries tracked by Panjiva.
