The long-running bilateral dispute between the U.S. and EU regarding state support for the aerospace sector continues with a WTO ruling on EU loans to Airbus. That may allow the U.S. to apply duties equivalent to Boeing’s lost sales. Trade disputes are a fact-of-life for the aerospace sector – a case was recently resolved involving Bombardier, while China’s aerospace sector is also a target for section 301 duties by America.
