The EU is being pressured by steel industry Eurofer to reach a steel export quota agreement with the U.S. in return for the removal of section 232 steel duties. While the EC may consider such an option it already has retaliatory duties ready to go. Those target U.S. consumer goods suppliers including Harley Davidson motorcycles and Jack Daniels whisky and would be postponed in the event of a quota deal.
