The U.S. Trade Representative has completed its consultation on a second round of products to be covered by 25% duties as part of the section 301 review. The $16 billion list of products covered excludes five items that were on the initial list. Imports from China of the five were worth $453 million in the 12 months to June 30 and includes splicing machines and floating docks. The largest among the excluded products though were multimodal containers worth $334 million where 72% of U.S. imports came from China.
