The European Commission may settle a WTO case brought by the U.S. against EU beef import policies as part of attempts to increase EU imports from the U.S. following the trade rapprochement reached by President Trump and President Juncker. The quota arrangement has meant the U.S. accounted for 9% of the EU’s 1.66 billion euros ($1.92 billion) imports in the 12 months to June 30.
