Tropical Storm Gordon’s U.S. landfall on September 4 caused temporary closures at the ports of Gulfport and Mobile. That was only the second major mainland storm so far this season and marks a contrast to worse disruptions in China (Typhoon Maria) and Japan (Jebi).
