President Xi Jinping and President Donald Trump reached an agreement at the G20 that should lead to a 90 day cessation of tariff increases between the two countries. As always with trade deals the details matter. The U.S. has stated that negotiations will push towards a change in Chinese rules on intellectual property policies. China meanwhile only referred to a “consensus” on trade matters.
