Steel and aluminum tariffs imposed by the U.S. on Mexican exports are now the main sticking point in ratification of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. Mexico’s Undersecretary for North America Jesús Seade has stated “there cannot be a close” of USMCA implementation without removing the tariffs following a meeting with the U.S. government.
