Toymaker Hasbro has warned that its efforts to shift production out of China will be hindered rather than helped by proposed U.S. tariffs. Indeed, the firm’s SVP for Government Affairs, Kathrin Belliveau has warned “it would take several years” for the toy industry to shift away from China and that “retailers will pass their additional costs to U.S. consumers” in the meantime.
