COSCO Shipping is expanding its services between the Far East and Brazil. That comes despite a lackluster growth in bilateral shipments between Asia and Brazil of just 3.4% year over year in the 12 months to May 31. There has been a pickup more recently though with exports having expanded by 13.4% in the three months to May 31. The fastest growing sector has been pulp and paper where exports by Eldorado grew 39.7% year over year in the past three months and those by Klabin jumped 65.7%.
