Aluminum Wire Imports From China Cut, Buyers Plug Into Turkish Supplies

The U.S. government has found that Chinese exports of aluminum wire have been subsidized, causing material damage to American industry. That will allow tariffs to be applied on top of those in place since July 2018 under the section 301 program that has been the basis of the U.S.-China trade war. U.S. imports of aluminum wire from China already fell by 82.9% year over year in 3Q.
