Matson hopes faster means better as COVID-19 overshadows outlook

Container shipping firm Matson reported revenues which declined by 3.5% year over year in Q1 as a collapse in logistics brokerage revenues was offset by growth in container handling on routes from Hawaii and Alaska. Continued growth in the latter two will be crimped by reduced tourism and lower oil prices linked to the COVID-19 pandemic.
