DB Schenker has proposed a “stability package” for customers of Maersk’s Damco freight forwarding business. The latter will withdraw from full-container load common-carrier services later this year. The offer comes as DB Schenker’s volumes handled on U.S. seaborne, inbound lanes has underperformed the industry average. Imports linked to DB Schenker fell by 16.9% year over year in August while the average rose by 5.9%.
