The Meidong Container Terminal at Ningbo Zhoushan Port in China has had to close due to a COVID-19 outbreak. A similar event at Yantian in May and June took almost a month to ultimately resolve. Shipments from Ningbo to the U.S. represented 19.0% of U.S. seaborne imports from China in the 12 months to July 31. Shipments from the affected terminal are led by the Ocean Alliance of CMA CGM, Cosco and Evergreen who together accounted for 35.0% of U.S. seaborne imports from Ningbo in total.
